In the last two domestic homicide reviews in Greenwich, the only professional who had contact with the victim were their GPs. GPs can save lives by asking about and then referring victims of domestic abuse to domestic abuse advocacy services.
Our training will give you all the information you need to identify abuse, draw out information from the client and refer to specialist support services. It will help you with complex cases giving you the support to help get victims to safety.
This is essential training and can be counted towards your three-yearly safeguarding training requirement for both adult and child safeguarding. The training gives local links to both specialist support and covers the way high-risk cases can be referred and supported.
You won’t get this from a generic online course.
